1. Match
Director will begin by holding a meeting for all registered competitors at
which time he will go over safety and match rules addressing any questions
pertaining to safety or the match. He will then go over the following instructions.
2. Match
directors first rule is to insure that club rules for SAFETY is in
force at all times. Any competitor deemed to be unsafe will be cautioned
once or disqualified if repeated failure to observe match
director’s instructions persist.
3. Only
competitors are to be allowed on firing line during match.
4. A
shooter that has completed the relay may get up and quietly step
back from the bench. Equipment will
not be removed from the bench
until the relay has been completed. Bolts are to be removed from
guns at all times except when competing.
5. There
will be a three (3) minute sight in period at the beginning of the first
relay of each match. Only sighter targets will be shot during this
time. Competitors found to be shooting their score targets at this
time will be disqualified.
6. Match
Director will begin each relay with the command: Ready on the right,
Ready on the left, Ready on the firing line. After observing firing
line for any problems he will then give the command Insert Bolts and
Commence Fire.
7. Each
relay of each match will continue for (7) minutes from commence
fire.
8. At
the end of (7) minutes the director will give the instruction Cease
Fire at which time competitors will cease-fire immediately. Firing
after the cease-fire command can result in a disqualification.
9. There
will be a 30-minute delay between matches to give competitors who reload
sufficient time to reload and prepare for the next match.
